Listed below are a few samples of
the work I've done for various classes here at Michigan Tech:
- Revisions
Class, Spring Semester 2008
- The assignment was to choose a
company that we're interested in working for and come up
with possible questions that we would be asked during an
interview with that company. We then had to answer
the questions ourselves with written responses. A
follow-up assignment was to obtain an interview at the
career center to work on our actual interview skills.
I learned that I am much better writing responses to
questions than speaking about myself. It was a
great experience to research possible questions and
learn to take the time for preparing answers for an
interview.

- Revisions
Class, Spring Semester 2008
- This assignment was our final
project of the semester. We were to choose a
current controversial issue or scandal that was linked
to a company that we were interested in or that had to
do with our field of study. I chose to focus on
the scandal surrounding the contamination of the
children's toy Aqua Dots. Click

- Legal
Careers Class, Spring Semester 2008
- This assignment was to prepare a
professional case briefing as well as an article on the
same case file. The cases to choose from were
current cases on the Supreme Court Docket at the time,
meaning that the cases had made it up to the Supreme
Court level and were either awaiting discussion or the
release of a ruling. We chose our subjects from a
list provided by our instructor according to our
interest in the case. We completed many case
briefings during the course of the entire class, and it
was nice to compare a technical briefing to a more
reader-friendly article on the same case topic.
